A couple of recent guild web site updates to report on, nothing major, but just for your reference.....

I've recently added another 500+ customised Stormsurge mastheads featuring EQ2 screenshots from in and around Norrath to the randomised pool of mastheads that are used at the top of each page across our web site, bringing our total number of randomised mastheads close to a whopping 1100! Included in this new update are screenshots from all over the place really, but a large quantity from our recent raid outtings (see if you can spot yourself!), Kunark and Velious (added many new ones from Eastern Wastes and Thurgadin now), plus some individual guild members who I've managed to snag screenshots of - there are also many other zones featured in this new update - too many to list - hope you enjoy looking at them - there are some really great looking screenshots in and amongst them to keep things fresh and interesting for you all whilst using the site.

Secondly, the Random Tips section now becomes the Random Stuff section. Basically, it was noted that this Tips section was featuring all kinds of interesting, curious and comical stuff other than tips that were being submitted by you guys, much like the 'Did You Know' stuff that appears on EQ2's own loading screens, so we've broadened the scope of this little feature so it can encapsulate any old thing now! More useful tips and funny stuff has been added over the last couple of weeks and I have a serious list of stuff I want to add in there, so keep your eyes out, and watch that little block on the left hand side for some more interesting / fun tips / stuff in the coming weeks / months.

After we finished the site in August, I have to admit to being a wee bit tired and wanted to catch up on some of the gametime I'd missed out on in the previous couple of months, hence, progress on the site in the last few weeks hasn't been quite how I'd anticipated - but its only natural I suppose to come up for air. However, I'm getting back on the ball, and will be tinkering with the site a few hours every week again as and when the opportunity arises, so look out for more updates in the near future!

Ever looked at those stylish personalised EQ2 themed avatars and signatures some folk on our site have and think to yourself 'Yeuck!! I don't want one of those!'? If so, then you need read no further!

If however, you are in the camp that says 'meh they're alright, I suppose I wouldn't mind one' then you might like to visit our brand new Request an Avatar / Signature page, where each week one unlucky person will get the chance to have their very own avatar and signature set designed and setup for use on our site (and indeed other intermaweb forums) by that Thor guy - you know the one with the silly pointed hat, red eyes, ornate moustache, and one of Norrath's most pungent odours.

Our new Request an Avatar / Signature page enables guild members of Senior status or above to sign up and join the queue for their very own EQ2 Avatar / Sig(nature) as Thor will try and tackle 1 request per week or more (time permitting). Even if you don't want one of Thor's designs, there are some useful tips and information on this page to enable you to use your own avatars / signatures on the site should you so wish.

You may also like to know folk without a signature / avatar (either by Thor or of their own creation) may be subject to negative karma!!! And those who do have one setup (be it one I've done or otherwise) may be subject to some positive karma! Now I know that has you interested!

After much blood, sweat and tears, we're proud to announce our brand new guild web site @ www.stormsurge.us is now live to our membership and the rest of the world!

Our new site developed by myself together with a lot of hard work from Luchy, Arikk, and Takul along the way has been in the pipeline for several months now behind the scenes - we were ambitious at the drawing board and decided to reach high - we think it shows - and hopefully in a positive way, and whilst admittedly we're not quite there with everything yet as we'd hoped for things are taking shape rather nicely.

Take a look at some of the stuff we've done...
